Vintage Chic is here to help! We want our brides to be as prepared as possible for their appointments! Below are some common questions we get asked by our brides! The Shop
Yes! Having an appointment ensures that you, as well as every other bride, has the best bridal experience possible! Vintage Chic prides itself in its ability to provide a private and intimate experience and therefore only takes one appointment at a time. When you and your closest friends and family arrive for your appointment, you have the entire shop to yourselves and you receive one on one assistance with the owner herself. No sharing the spotlight in this shop! Absolutely no walk-ins are allowed. If you wish to schedule an appointment in the same day, please text or call 563-581-9945. I will let you know as soon as possible if there are any appointment times available for that day!

We are by appointment only; therefore, there are no set hours for the shop! We schedule appointments Thursday through Sunday! Vintage Chic also has the flexibility to do late evening appointments as well! If you have a time in mind, please feel free to request that time in your appointment request!

We typically book at least 3 weeks in advance, so be sure to plan ahead! The shop only takes one appointment at a time; therefore, there are a limited amount of appointment times available each day!

Depending on the appointment booked, we can seat up to 10 guests!
Honestly, you don't have to bring a whole lot. Please make sure you wear underwear. That is the one and only thing that is a must have. If you'd like, you can wear a strapless bra, but just make sure whatever bra you wear, it's a non-distracting color. Many brides prefer to go braless when trying on dresses because you get the best idea of what the dress will actually look like on your frame, but we totally understand if you're not comfortable with that. A nude or white bra will do just fine. If you have any specific accessories that you'll be wearing on your wedding day, please bring them with you as well so you can see how they will look with the dresses you try on.
Firstly, prepare yourself for the idea that you could possibly find your dream dress at your appointment! Trying on dresses is for sure fun, but go into your appointment with at least the idea that you could possibly say yes to the dress because it may happen! Secondly, bring the people with you that you need to have present to have that magical say yes moment. This moment is a celebration and a big life moment, so when you have that magical realization that you've found your dress, you want to make sure you have the necessary people with you to make that moment even more special! And lastly, get ready to have some fun! Wedding dresses are magical! Enjoy trying them on!
The Goods
Vintage Chic carries bridal gowns and bridal accessories! We're the only shop in the tri-state area that focuses exclusively on the bride!
We exclusively carry private labels! It's a closed, curated collection of exclusive bridal gowns that Vintage Chic gets to choose from! Therefore, our orderable collection has gorgeous gowns that you won't find anywhere else in the area!
The dresses range from $1,299-$1,799 (not including taxes and shipping). The simpler the dress and the less amount of lace and beading, the less expensive the gown will be. If you ever have a question of how much a specific dress costs, feel free to message us and we can give you that information! All dresses are pay in full at the time of purchasing!
Orderable dresses take 24 weeks to arrive in the shop once they're ordered! There are rush options available at an additional cost! We highly recommend buying your dress at least 1 year out from your wedding to make the process as stress-free as possible! This time frame allows ample time for your dress to be ordered, arrive in the shop, for you to pick the dress up, and have the dress altered!
Absolutely! We have over 50 dresses in a bridal size 24 or higher! We carry bridal sizes 24, 28, 30, and 32! It's important to Vintage Chic that each and every bride has a plentiful amount of dresses to try on! Also, unlike many shops, Vintage Chic does not charge an additional cost when you order in plus size!
Your bridal size will differ from your jeans or normal dress size! In bridal, you're typically 2 sizes high than your jeans or normal dress size! Therefore, if you're a jeans or normal dress size 12, you will most likely be a bridal size 16! Don't worry, girls! At the end of the day, it's just a number and you will look beautiful no matter what size you order!
We don't do in-house alterations, but we know someone who does amazing work! Alterations on a wedding dress is pure magic, so we leave it to the experts!
